Illegal Gambling Operation Raided in Gurugram, 40 Detained

Gurugram, Dec 7 (NationPress) A clandestine casino known as Maple Farm was shut down in the village of Kadarpur, Gurugram, leading to the arrest of 40 individuals, according to police reports from Saturday.
The authorities confiscated approximately 3,180 tokens, six packs of cards, and two casino tables from the farmhouse where the illegal gambling operation was taking place.
As per the police, a team from the Gurugram Crime Branch received confidential information about the illegal casino during the night between Friday and Saturday.
In response to this tip-off, the police conducted a raid at the location and apprehended a total of 40 individuals engaged in unlawful activities.
Those arrested include individuals identified as Vinod Kumar, Punit, Raja Jat, Gopal, Neeraj Sharma, Sanjay Dalal, Tinku, Dinesh Kumar, Jatin, Kishan Singh, Dinesh, Jitender, Vikram, Jitender Singla, Vishal, Chandrakant, Aliya, Navneet Kaur, Ramandeep Kaur, Poorna Laxmi Sakya, Lalit, Deepak Goyal, Vipin Chauhan, Krishna, Manish, Rahul, Chirag, Chandila, Gajender, Bharat Bhushan, Anil, Sameer, Rohtash, Devender, Komal, Kavita, Manisha Pathak, Lakshmi Thapa, and Diksha.
The suspects primarily hail from Palwal, Hodal, Faridabad, Gurugram, and New Delhi, and were found consuming liquor illegally at the casino, according to police officials.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under applicable laws and the Excise Act at the Sector-65 police station.
During questioning, the detainees disclosed that they traveled to various locations, observed casinos there, and subsequently decided to establish one here. Investigations are ongoing, stated Sandeep Kumar, a representative of Gurugram Police.
