Gurugram, Feb 27 (NationPress) A team from the Gurugram Police Crime Branch has apprehended five individuals armed with illegal weapons, linked to organized crime across Delhi, Gurugram, and Nuh, authorities reported.

The arrests occurred during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday along the Dhankot canal in Gurugram.

According to police, acting on confidential intelligence, they quickly formed a specialized team that executed a raid at the designated location, leading to the capture of the suspects.

The detained individuals have been identified as Paramjeet aka Gyani, Pawan aka Pony aka Matru from Rohtak, Mahesh from Sohna, Prem from Bhiwani, and Majlis aka Sappi from Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

Authorities revealed that they recovered one pistol, two live cartridges, a master key, 12 motorcycles, one tempo, and a Scorpio vehicle from the suspects' possession.

A case has been registered against the suspects under relevant sections of the BNS at the Rajendra Park police station in Gurugram. During questioning, it was disclosed that the suspects had stolen a Scorpio vehicle from Delhi. Additionally, they admitted to a theft incident in Nuh and 11 other thefts in Gurugram.

Upon reviewing the criminal records, it was found that Paramjeet has two cases related to assault and attempted murder in Rohtak, with one theft case each in Bhiwani and Bahadurgarh (Jhajjar).

Furthermore, Pawan is linked to six theft cases in Rohtak, three in Bhiwani, and one in Jhajjar. Prem has three theft cases in Bhiwani, along with one in Rohtak, two in Panipat, and one in Fatehabad. Mahesh faces three theft-related cases in Nuh.

"The suspects will be presented in court for further judicial action. The investigation is ongoing," stated Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram Police.
