Three Arrested in Gurugram for Armed Robbery

Gurugram, Dec 25 (NationPress) A specialized unit from the Gurugram police has detained three individuals for their alleged involvement in armed robberies, according to police reports.

On Tuesday, law enforcement authorities received a tip-off regarding three young men attempting to rob pedestrians at gunpoint on Garhi Murali Road in Bhondsi, Gurugram.

The police swiftly mobilized a dedicated team, who arrived at the scene and apprehended the trio, who were found in possession of firearms.

The suspects have been identified as Kuldeep, Muqarib alias Chuna, and Ajuru, all hailing from Rajasthan.

Authorities confiscated a pistol, a loaded cartridge, an iron rod, 11 motorcycles, and a flashlight from the arrested individuals.

Following the crimes, a case was filed against them at the Bhondsi police station in Gurugram, leading to their legal detention.

During the interrogation, the suspects disclosed their involvement in seven theft incidents within Gurugram, three in Panipat, and one in Rajasthan.

The motorcycles recovered were reported stolen in these various incidents.

"The suspects will be brought before the court on Wednesday for further legal proceedings. An extensive investigation is ongoing," stated Sandeep Kumar, the Gurugram Police spokesperson.

In addition, as the New Year approaches, Gurugram's Traffic Police have implemented special measures to ensure smooth traffic management across the city.

Traffic officials indicated that a heightened focus will be placed on drunk driving offenses, with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Traffic, Virender Vij, assigning traffic officers to promote safe and peaceful New Year celebrations.

The DCP has instructed all traffic police personnel to execute their duties with increased vigilance during the festive period.
