Gurugram Police Thwart Armed Robbery Attempt, Three Arrested

Gurugram, Jan 1 (NationPress) - A specialized unit of the Gurugram Police successfully apprehended three suspects on Tuesday who were accused of attempting to conduct an armed robbery using illegal weapons, according to police reports.

With the capture of these individuals, law enforcement claims to have resolved nine theft incidents.

Inspector Vishwa Gaurav, who oversees the crime branch in Sector-39, Gurugram, received intelligence about three armed individuals attempting to rob pedestrians near the Signature Global Building Road, located on Fazilpur Road, Badshahpur, Gurugram.

Upon receiving this information, the police quickly assembled a special task force and arrived at the scene, where they detained the three suspects along with their firearms.

The suspects have been identified as Prakash (26), Devender alias Deva (22), and Sumit alias Lala (29).

Authorities recovered a pistol, a live cartridge, an iron rod, a flashlight, six mobile phones, a motorcycle, a scooter, and an autorickshaw from the suspects’ belongings.

A legal case has been filed against them at the Badshahpur police station under the relevant laws.

During interrogation, the suspects disclosed involvement in nine additional thefts within Gurugram.

According to Sandeep Kumar, a spokesperson for the Gurugram Police, records revealed that Prakash had two prior theft cases against him, while Devender alias Deva had four.

The suspects are set to appear in court for further legal proceedings.

Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
