Gurugram, Jan 26 (NationPress) - A dedicated team from the Gurugram Police's crime branch has apprehended three suspects for their alleged involvement in armed robberies, as reported by the police.

The detained individuals have been identified as Shahid alias Chanda, Irfan, a resident of Nuh, and Mohammad Parvez from Kishanganj, Bihar.

According to police sources, on Saturday, a cybercrime unit from Sohna received credible information regarding three youths attempting to rob pedestrians at gunpoint on the Old Sohna Alwar Road, Gurugram, beneath the railway bridge.

In response, the police swiftly organized a special team to investigate and conducted a raid at the specified location, successfully apprehending the three suspects with firearms.

The authorities seized 01 pistol, 01 live cartridge, 01 stick, 02 motorcycles, and 01 torch from the suspects' possession. Following the criminal acts, the police registered a case against them under applicable laws at Police Station City Sohna, Gurugram.

During interrogations, it emerged that one motorcycle had been stolen by Mohammad Parvez in the Sohna area, while another was taken by both Mohammad Parvez and Irfan collectively.

Additionally, Shahid disclosed his involvement in a theft case in Madhya Pradesh and another in Gurugram. Upon reviewing the suspects' criminal records, it was revealed that Shahid has a theft case registered against him in Nuh and a case under the Arms Act in Gurugram.

Moreover, on January 22, a crime branch team of the Gurugram Police detained seven individuals for allegedly plotting to rob a company. Authorities recovered 01 pistol, 01 live cartridge, 01 motorcycle, 01 auto-rickshaw, 01 hammer, 01 iron-cutting blade, and various other tools from their possession.

Additionally, on January 5, the same police unit arrested three robbers for planning a robbery in Gurugram. They recovered an illegal pistol, 02 live cartridges, 01 iron rod, 07 motorcycles, and 01 torch from the suspects, identified as Ishtiyak Shakeel from Nuh and Momin from Palwal.
