Three Individuals Arrested for Attempting to Rob Police at Gunpoint in Gurugram

Gurugram, Dec 17 (NationPress) A team from the crime branch of the Gurugram Police has taken into custody three individuals who reportedly attempted to rob a police unit at gunpoint on the night transitioning from Monday to Tuesday, as stated by officials.

The police unit, led by Inspector Vishwagaurav, Incharge Crime Branch Sector-39, Gurugram, received intelligence about three assailants armed with weapons attempting to rob individuals near DPG College in Sector-72, Gurugram.

In response to the tip-off, the police quickly assembled a special team. Upon arrival at the scene, they found that the trio had halted the police vehicle using a torch and attempted to rob them at gunpoint.

The police team successfully subdued the three suspects, who were found in possession of illegal firearms.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mosim Khan (23), Salim Khan (23) from Palwal, and Jitender (30) from Surat Nagar Phase-2, Gurugram.

Authorities recovered one pistol, one live cartridge, a stick, and a torch from the suspects.

Following this incident involving the police team, a case has been registered against the three under applicable legal provisions at the Sadar Police Station in Gurugram.

Upon reviewing the criminal backgrounds of the suspects, it was discovered that Mosim has two cases for assault and violations of the Arms Act registered in Palwal, two theft and fraud cases in Rajasthan, and two theft cases in Gurugram. Salim Khan has one fraud case in Palwal and one theft case in Gurugram, while Jitender is under investigation for a case registered under the NDPS Act in Fatehabad, police reported.

"The suspects will be presented in court as required for further legal proceedings. The investigation into the case is ongoing," stated Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram Police.
