In Varanasi, locals congregated at the towering 51-foot Hanuman statue to chant the Hanuman Chalisa, seeking divine favor for India's victory.
Vinod Kumar Mishra, a dedicated follower, shared with IANS, "We are persistently praying to Lord Hanuman for India’s win. We are reciting the Hanuman Chalisa for Team India’s success in the match."
Gopal Singh, another passionate fan, added, "We have gathered here with a wish for victory. After a long wait, India has this opportunity in the Champions Trophy, and we are confident of winning it."
Alongside the Hanuman Chalisa prayers, the Namami Gange initiative in Varanasi performed aarti at Raj Ghat, invoking the blessings of Goddess Ganga for India’s success in the final.
