New Delhi, Sep 19 (NationPress) India once again criticized Pakistan for its ongoing support to terrorist activities, asserting that the global community is fully aware of the connection between the Pakistani State, its military, and terrorist organizations operating from within Pakistan.

During a weekly media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized, "On issues of terrorism, we firmly believe that the world recognizes the relationship between terrorists and the Pakistani state and military. Such declarations make this connection even more evident. This is our perspective on the visuals you mentioned," in response to inquiries regarding recent footage featuring terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Jaiswal’s remarks followed a statement from a JeM commander who admitted that the family of the terror group’s founder, Masood Azhar, faced devastating losses during the Operation Sindoor strikes carried out by the Indian Armed Forces at the group's headquarters, Markaz Taiba in Muridke.

In a video circulating on social media, JeM commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, surrounded by armed personnel, acknowledged the significant losses the terror organization endured during India's Operation Sindoor.

This admission followed the brutal Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in 26 fatalities, prompting India to take action by targeting JeM and LeT locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).

Pakistan later confirmed the destruction of nine sites, including Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muridke, known for being terror strongholds.

Bahawalpur, the 12th largest city in Pakistan, serves as a significant operational hub for JeM, hosting the group's headquarters at Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah, also known as the Usman-o-Ali campus.

During a gathering, Masood Ilyas Kashmiri stated, "This notion of terrorism, which we hold dear for the ideological and geographical boundaries of our nation (Pakistan), has led us to confront Delhi, Kabul, and Kandahar at various times."

He further added, "After sacrificing everything, on May 7, the family of Maulana Masood Azhar, including women and children, were brutally killed in Bahawalpur."

During the briefing, the MEA spokesperson reiterated the critical importance of combating cross-border terrorism and all forms of terrorism.

"In every document that emerges from multilateral forums, whether it be BRICS, SCO, or any other, there is unwavering support for fighting international terrorism. There is also a call to address cross-border terrorism. We urge the international community to enhance efforts to tackle terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," Jaiswal concluded.

Point of View

It is imperative to recognize the consistent pattern of Pakistan's support for terrorism. India's firm stance on this issue not only underscores its commitment to national security but also calls upon the global community to unite against the menace of terrorism. The narrative must remain focused on the facts and the need for collective action.
