New Delhi, April 23 (NationPress) India’s largest low-cost airline, IndiGo, announced on Wednesday that it will eliminate cancellation fees and rescheduling charges on flights to Srinagar, following the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam.
The airline stated that this decision was made in light of the challenges and concerns faced by its customers due to the ongoing situation in Pahalgam, emphasizing its commitment to providing compassionate support to those in need during this difficult period.
“To assist travelers to and from Srinagar, IndiGo is waiving cancellation fees and rescheduling charges. The airline has also introduced special flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Srinagar, operating in addition to its regular schedule of 160 weekly flights connecting Srinagar with various parts of India,” the statement added.
IndiGo is actively monitoring the situation and is committed to helping its customers in every possible way.

Airlines are advised to take prompt action to enhance flight availability in response to this increased demand and to ensure seamless connectivity from Srinagar to various destinations across India, assisting in the evacuation of stranded tourists.”
“The airlines are also encouraged to consider waiving cancellation and rescheduling fees and to provide all necessary support to tourists facing unexpected challenges during this trying time,” the advisory further indicated.
