Indore, Dec 30 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, expressed his sorrow on Tuesday over the unfortunate demise of three individuals from Bhagirathpura in Indore, who reportedly consumed contaminated water.

The Chief Minister declared an ex gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh to each family of the deceased and reaffirmed that the state government would cover the medical expenses for all affected individuals.
He promised that the authorities would guarantee their safety.
The incident has caused widespread alarm in Bhagirathpura, with three fatalities and an increasing number of hospital admissions linked to what is believed to be contaminated tap water.
Over 66 individuals have been hospitalized across various healthcare facilities, including both public and private hospitals.
In response to the crisis, 22 medical teams, consisting of senior doctors, have been dispatched to the villages suspected to be impacted by the water supply.
Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari has called for accountability regarding this incident.
“Three lives have been lost, and it is imperative that the Indore Municipal Commissioner and the Mayor be held accountable,” Patwari stated during his visit to the hospital on Tuesday evening.
