As per a statement from Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West District), Surendra Choudhary, the arrest was made following a burglary report filed on April 17 by Varun Garwal, who discovered that his residence in Sagarpur had been violated.
The thieves escaped with approximately 500 grams of gold, silver items, and Rs 50,000 in cash. They forcefully broke the locks on all floors and almirahs.
“During the inquiry, CCTV footage captured three individuals breaking into the property on the night of April 16-17. The culprits were seen using a stolen Honda Shine motorcycle, which was traced back to the Mayapuri area,” stated the release.

Despite facing resistance from villagers, the police team successfully apprehended Babloo, who confessed to his involvement during questioning.
The police recovered 94 grams of gold, burglary tools specifically designed for breaking locks, and scissors modified to act as keys. His accomplices, who are relatives from Umarti, Madhya Pradesh, remain at large and are also wanted in other states, including Maharashtra and Gujarat.
“Babloo has a criminal record involving theft and is also sought after in a case related to the Arms Act by Gujarat Police. He was previously implicated under the Arms Act by Delhi's Special Cell in 2021,” the DCP mentioned.
