New Delhi, July 24 (NationPress) The Delhi Police announced on Thursday that they have successfully dismantled an interstate auto-lifting and burglary syndicate in the central area of the capital, resulting in the arrest of three suspects.

Following a tip-off regarding the gang's activities, police from the Prasad Nagar precinct set up a sting operation on July 20 along Chitra Gupt Road, located in Paharganj, leading to the apprehension of the offenders.

This operation was spearheaded by Inspector Vikas Dabas and included Sub-Inspector Gaurav.

During their search, authorities recovered 41 grams of gold or gold-plated items, 19 grams of silver or silver-plated items, four silver bracelets, an extensive array of tools intended for vehicle theft and burglary, as well as four stolen motorcycles, as reported by Nidhin Valsan, the Deputy Commissioner of Police.

The suspects were identified as Rajvir Singh, 24, and Gurdeep Singh, 21, both from Aakash Nagar in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, along with Karan Singh, 21, from Ekta Nagar in Maharashtra.

Rajvir Singh, recognized as the mastermind of the gang, has a history of criminal activity, having been detained previously in 2020 for theft and wanted in three other criminal cases throughout Delhi.

The police have successfully recovered four stolen motorcycles, along with gold and silver jewelry and tools related to the thefts from the suspects' possession.

In total, the arrests have led to the resolution of 15 cases recorded across various police stations in Delhi, including Shakurpur, Prasad Nagar, Sarai Rohilla, Karol Bagh, Laxmi Nagar, and Rajouri Garden.

During questioning, the suspects admitted their involvement in a gang dedicated to vehicle theft and burglary, alongside their accomplices.

One Honda Shine bike was also recovered, confirmed stolen from the jurisdiction of PS Shakarpur in the East District, associated with FIR No. 019926/25, U/s 305(b) BNS. Following thorough interrogation, they further disclosed their gang's operations concerning vehicle theft and burglary.

Moreover, three additional Honda bikes were recovered based on the information provided by the suspects, officials stated.

Earlier this month, the Delhi Police's Crime Branch dismantled two interstate networks that were operating across Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Manipur.
