Nagpur, Aug 4 (NationPress) The NIA court has declared the acquittal of seven defendants in the Malegaon blast incident, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur. Following her release, she asserted that during her time in custody, she faced coercion to implicate numerous high-profile individuals.
In her initial public remarks on Saturday, Thakur accused the investigators of pressuring her to name influential personalities, such as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and BJP leaders Ram Madhav and Indresh Kumar.
Continuing her claims on Sunday, she stated that she endured torture for refusing to disseminate false information during the investigation.
Speaking to the press at Bhopal airport, the former Bhopal MP expressed, “I was requested to disseminate fake information, which I declined to do. As a result, I faced severe torture,” she stated.
In response to these developments, veteran Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi remarked, "Since Sadhvi has made these allegations, they must be true, as this conspiracy has been unfolding for an extended period. However, now, following the court's ruling, it has been confirmed that this was a conspiracy. It is now the responsibility of the agency and the government to uncover the individuals behind this conspiracy."
On the ongoing Hindi-Marathi language conflict in Maharashtra, he stated, "All languages in our nation are Indian languages, and we respect every one of them. There should be a singular language that fosters unity. We have long advocated that Hindi is the language that unites our country."
Addressing the conversion issue, Bhaiyaji Joshi emphasized, "The conversion matter is extremely serious. It has been a concern in Nagaland and Mizoram for over 200-250 years, and it persists today. We appreciate that some organizations within the Christian community are opposing conversion. We welcome such voices."
He added, "We are reaching out to those who have been converted. Awareness campaigns are underway, and we are explaining the situation. This initiative is progressing well. There are also efforts to curb conversions, primarily driven by poverty and lack of knowledge. Additionally, societal ignorance contributes to the issue to some extent."
