Jaipur, April 15 (NationPress) A meeting was convened on Wednesday at the Collectorate Auditorium, presided over by District Collector Sandesh Nayak, aimed at ensuring adherence to guidelines set forth by the Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission for the organization of IPL 2026 matches in Jaipur.

The focus of the meeting was to guarantee compliance with all established protocols, especially concerning spectator safety and vital public arrangements.

The District Collector instructed representatives from Rajasthan Royals, the Rajasthan State Sports Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India to rigorously follow the Commission’s directives.

He called upon relevant departments to develop thorough arrangements for senior citizens, women, minors, and young children.

Special attention was given to accessibility features, which include the construction of distinct ramps for disabled individuals, accessible seating, and designated restrooms.

Furthermore, additional ramps were mandated to be installed in the West Block area to facilitate easier movement for senior citizens and differently-abled spectators.

The Collector also highlighted the need for match tickets to be available at affordable prices, the establishment of emergency response procedures, and the provision of free drinking water during daytime matches.

The District Supply Officer and Food Safety Officers were tasked with regularly monitoring food quality, hygiene, and sanitation standards at temporary kitchens set up at the venue.

To bolster safety and emergency preparedness, the District Collector instructed all departments to collaborate closely and implement a comprehensive action plan.

Instructions were issued to deploy ambulances with trained medical personnel, establish medical kiosks at multiple locations, and ensure adequate sanitation and uninterrupted power supply at the stadium.

From a security standpoint, officials were directed to conduct thorough screenings of spectators, guarantee the availability of fire tenders and firefighting equipment, and deploy Disaster Quick Response Teams consisting of female volunteers, security personnel, and Civil Defence members at strategic locations for effective crowd management and emergency responses.

Additionally, the Collector mandated the creation of a centralized control room for the event and stressed the importance of efficient traffic management to ensure smooth transit around the venue.

The meeting saw participation from Additional District Collectors Yugantar Sharma, Mukesh Kumar Moond, and Ashish Kumar, alongside representatives from the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Rajasthan Royals. Officials from the Police Department, Municipal Corporation, Medical and Health Department, Electricity Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Public Works Department, Civil Defence, and other relevant departments were also present.
