Jaipur, Aug 5 (NationPress) Tensions grew in Jaipur on Tuesday as police deployed water cannons against Congress leader Sachin Pilot and members of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) during a demonstration advocating for the revival of student union elections in Rajasthan. The protest took place at Shaheed Smarak, where numerous senior Congress officials, including Pilot, spoke to the crowd.
As NSUI members attempted to approach the Chief Minister's residence, law enforcement intervened, resulting in a brief altercation between officers and demonstrators.
In the ensuing turmoil, water cannons were utilized to scatter the crowd, affecting Sachin Pilot and other leaders.
