Jammu & Kashmir: Properties Valued at 4.3 Crore Seized from Drug Traffickers in Anantnag

Srinagar, Dec 7 (NationPress) In its relentless fight against drug traffickers and peddlers, the Jammu & Kashmir Police has, on Saturday, seized properties amounting to Rs 4.3 crore in the Anantnag district.
A statement from the police indicated that they have escalated their operations against drug trafficking in Anantnag, with properties valued at Rs 4.3 crore belonging to drug peddlers being seized.
“In a major operation targeting drug trafficking and offenses related to narcotics, the police in Anantnag have confiscated five residential properties and three vehicles, cumulatively valued at Rs 4.3 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
“This decisive action is part of ongoing efforts to tackle the drug crisis in the area. The confiscated properties include a single-story residence of Reyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar, located in Hassanpora Tawella, seized by Bijbehara police for involvement in multiple NDPS cases; a double-story house owned by Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, son of Ali Mohammad Reshi, linked to a significant narcotics recovery case also confiscated by Bijbehara police; a single-story property belonging to Subzar Ahmad Mir, son of Sonaullah Mir from Hassanpora Tawella; a double-story residence of Mohammad Shafi Dar, son of Mohammad Maqbool Dar, resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, for involvement in NDPS activities; and a residential property valued at Rs 30 lakh belonging to habitual offender Abdul Hamid Chopan from Malpora Ranipora, seized by Achabal Police.
“The vehicles confiscated include a Santro with registration number JK02B-6823 owned by Mohammad Shafi Dar, a WagonR with registration number HR28C-9580 owned by Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo of Waghama Bijbehara, and a Toyota Corolla with registration number HR51AL-0505 registered to Rahul Singh from New Delhi.
The proactive initiatives underscore the commitment of the Jammu & Kashmir Police to dismantle drug trafficking networks and ensure that those involved in such crimes face severe legal repercussions. By targeting the properties and assets of offenders, J&K Police aims to deter further illegal activities and disrupt the financial infrastructure of drug networks.
