Patna, Oct 13 (NationPress) The Jan Suraaj party has unveiled its second roster of 65 candidates for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. This list comprises 20 reserved seats (19 designated for SC and 1 for ST) alongside 45 general seats.
The announcement was made by the party's national president, Uday Singh, who emphasized the party's dedication to providing representation across all societal segments.
“In line with our pledge to include every community, we are introducing candidates from the largest Extremely Backward Class group (10 Hindu, 4 Muslim) across 14 seats, with 10 from the Other Backward Class and 14 from the Minority Class,” Singh stated.
He added, “In keeping with our promise to ensure participation of qualified Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates in general seats, one Scheduled Caste candidate will be contesting from the Harnaut assembly constituency in Nalanda district.”
The list also features Dr. Shahnawaz Alam, a prominent physician from Siwan, who will be running from Badhariya.
Among other notable candidates are Abhaykant Jha from Bhagalpur, Neeraj Singh from Sheohar, Lalababu Yadav from Narkatiaganj, Mantosh Sahani from Kalyanpur, Rajiv Ranjan Singh from Sandesh, Azam Anwar Hussain from Bajpatti, Ratneshwar Thakur from Harlakhi, Janardan Yadav from Narpatganj, and Tanuja Kumari from Islampur.
With this new list, Jan Suraaj has officially announced candidates for 116 seats.
Previously, in the first list, the party had named 51 candidates, with 49 being first-time contenders and only two having previous experience.
