Patna, Oct 9 (NationPress) In anticipation of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, the Jan Suraaj Party, spearheaded by Prashant Kishor, unveiled its initial roster of 51 candidates on Thursday, signifying the launch of its electoral strategy as a third force in the region.
During a press briefing in Patna, the party's National President, Uday Singh, stated that candidate names will be disclosed on a daily basis.
Among the 51 candidates, seven are from the Scheduled Castes (SCs), 17 from the Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and nine from the minority community.
The remaining 18 candidates are from the general and Economically Backward Class (EBC) groups.
Singh also declared that Prashant Kishor will kick off the party's election campaign from Raghopur on October 11; however, he specified that the Jan Suraaj President is not included in the list of 51 candidates announced on Thursday.
While presenting the list, R.C.P. Singh proclaimed, "We are poised to make history in Bihar politics."
This list features several prominent individuals, including Jagriti Thakur, the granddaughter of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, who will run for the Morwa Assembly seat (Samastipur).
