New Delhi, February 26 (NationPress) – Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has entered into a digital Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Argentina's Universidad Nacional De San Antonio De Areco (UNSAdA) to enhance academic collaboration and cooperation, as announced by an official on Thursday.
Vice-Chancellor Mazhar Asif led the MoU signing on February 18, with Mahtab Alam Rizvi, JMI Registrar, and Jeronimo E. Ainchil, UNSAdA Rector, representing their respective institutions.
Rector Ainchil remarked that UNSAdA, a burgeoning public university located in one of Argentina's key agricultural areas, is dedicated to fostering internationalization while driving innovation that resonates locally and has a global impact.
He stressed that this new partnership, inspired by literature as a cultural bridge, transcends mere symbolism and will foster tangible initiatives, including joint research endeavors, academic exchanges, and interdisciplinary collaborations, thereby enriching academic dialogue between India and Latin America.
By formalizing this MoU, both universities committed to collaborating on various fronts, including knowledge dissemination, faculty and staff development, and exchange programs.
The agreement covers joint seminars, research conferences, workshops, sharing of academic resources, scientific data, publications, intellectual property, executive training, and professional development initiatives.
Ainchil expressed enthusiasm regarding the strategic alliance between the two universities.
The signing ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Ushvinder Kaur Popli, JMI Dean of International Relations; Tanuja, Dean of Academic Affairs; Iqtidar Mohd. Khan, Dean of Humanities and Languages; Md. Faizullah Khan, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages; Noorin Khan, Dean of the Department of Foreign Languages and Spanish and Latin American Studies; along with Saima Saeed, Foreign Students' Advisor.
Earlier, Popli facilitated introductions between JMI and UNSAdA officials and provided comprehensive insights about the university.
Tanuja elaborated on the various departments and programs available at JMI.
