Joint Military Exercise Between Indian and Cambodian Forces

New Delhi, Dec 1 (NationPress) The inaugural edition of the Joint Table Top Exercise, CINBAX, initiated between the Indian Army and the Cambodian Army, began at the Foreign Training Node in Pune on Sunday.
This exercise will take place from December 1 to 8.
The Cambodian Army's contingent consists of 20 personnel, matching the participation from an Indian Army Infantry Brigade.
Exercise CINBAX is primarily a planning exercise designed to simulate joint Counter Terrorism (CT) operations in accordance with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
The focus of the exercise will include deliberations on the creation of a Joint Training Task Force for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance as well as operational planning within the CT framework.
Various potential scenarios will be simulated, including the use of force multipliers in sub-conventional operations. Discussions will also cover information operations, cyber warfare, hybrid warfare, logistics, and casualty management.
The exercise is structured into three phases: Phase-I will emphasize preparation and participant orientation for CT operations during UN peacekeeping missions.
Phase-II will consist of executing the Table Top exercises, while Phase-III will finalize plans and summarize the outcomes. This structure aims to highlight practical aspects of theme-based training, enabling participants to grasp procedures through scenario-based discussions and tactical exercises.
Additionally, the exercise will present weapons and equipment of Indian origin, promoting 'Atmanirbharta' and showcasing indigenous capabilities in defense production.
The inaugural edition of Exercise CINBAX aims to foster trust and camaraderie while achieving optimal interoperability between the forces of both nations.
Moreover, it is expected to enhance the joint operational efficiency of both armies during peacekeeping missions.
