Solan, June 2 (NationPress) During a recent meeting of the party’s core group in Himachal Pradesh, BJP President J.P. Nadda emphasized the need for the leadership to prepare for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections.
Party spokesperson Randhir Sharma noted that President Nadda commended the initiatives taken by the party and urged them to form groups in anticipation of the elections.
In line with directives from the central leadership, several programs will be organized at different levels to celebrate the 11 years of PM Modi's governance.
Chaupals will be set up in cities, neighborhoods, and at gram panchayat centers to discuss resolutions aimed at creating a developed India.
Additionally, registration camps for various centrally-sponsored schemes are to be conducted in every assembly constituency.
“We will undertake a door-to-door campaign to ensure 100% registration for the Ayushman Bharat Yojana for senior citizens,” said Sharma.
Moreover, in celebration of World Environment Day on June 5, a large-scale sapling planting initiative will be launched, with a detailed plan in place for the next two months.
To commemorate International Yoga Day on June 21, yoga training sessions will be held across all divisions from June 15 to June 20.
Each division will host at least one non-political celebration of Yoga Day on June 21. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Emergency imposed by the Congress government under Indira Gandhi, and seminars will be held in every district to honor the Loktantra Senani.
Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur expressed pride in participating in the Tiranga Samman Yatra, which was organized in Solan under Union Minister Nadda’s leadership to honor the armed forces.
“This yatra symbolizes not only our military strength but also embodies the patriotic spirit inherent in every Indian. Paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of our soldiers, we encourage all residents of the state to join the Tiranga Yatra,” added Thakur.
