On July 28, the Governor officially launched Yano's expedition and expressed profound pride in her success.

He noted that Yano, who has previously conquered Mount Everest, has once again showcased the unwavering spirit, bravery, and tenacity emblematic of the people from Arunachal Pradesh.

The 26-year-old climber reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at 10:27 a.m. (African Time) on August 4.

During the flag-off ceremony for Yano’s expedition on July 28, the Governor remarked that only a select few individuals worldwide have undertaken the daunting challenge of the 7-Summit Mountaineering Expedition, which aims to conquer the highest peaks on all seven continents.

Kabak Yano, born on September 5, 1999, in Arunachal Pradesh, has made history by reaching the summit of Mount Everest on May 21, 2024. Her Everest journey began in March 2024, with her departure for Kathmandu on March 27. After weeks of preparation, she arrived at base camp on April 17 and successfully summited Everest on May 21 (2024).
