Bengaluru, March 22 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP criticized the recent anti-delimitation Joint Action Committee (JAC) gathering in Chennai, labeling it as a mere ploy by opportunists to conceal their corruption and administrative failures.

BJP Karnataka president B.Y. Vijayendra remarked: "The JAC meeting in Chennai is merely a desperate effort by opportunists to hide their corruption and administrative shortcomings under the guise of language advocacy. Their true motive is not about linguistic rights but about deceiving the public to further their political agendas.

He emphasized that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has continually guaranteed that no language will dominate over another, stating: "The unfounded conspiracies of these anti-national figures will soon unravel, as he has already reaffirmed his commitment to engage with state representatives in their native languages post-December."

Vijayendra pointed out the irony of Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar eagerly participating in this event while Kannada organizations protest for the swift execution of the Mekedatu project. "Does he even comprehend that his close ally, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, along with his party, are the very ones impeding this vital initiative's progress? Instead of aligning with the people of Karnataka, he stands with those obstructing the state's drinking water requirements," Vijayendra asserted.

Before the Joint Action Committee meeting, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced that all states against the Union government's delimitation proposal will collaborate to ensure no state's parliamentary seats are diminished.

On Friday, during the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) in Bengaluru, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed apprehension regarding forces that threaten national unity by exacerbating the North-South divide.

Mukunda C.R., Joint General Secretary of the RSS, addressed this issue, stating: "One of our primary concerns is the forces attempting to undermine national unity by stressing the North-South divide. Whether it pertains to delimitation or language-related matters, our volunteers from various organizations are striving to foster harmony across the southern states."
