Shivamogga (Karnataka), April 26 (NationPress) Karnataka BJP MLA S.N. Channabasappa has ignited a significant uproar by asserting that Robert Vadra, spouse of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, deserves to be shot for his contentious comments regarding the Pahalgam terrorist incident.

MLA Channabasappa, who faced arrest a decade ago for hate speech against former CM Siddaramaiah, previously threatened to behead him for consuming cow meat.

During a press briefing at his office in Shivamogga, MLA Channabasappa voiced his fury, claiming that Robert Vadra has betrayed the nation by supporting terrorists and insisted that he be killed.

He remarked, “The assassinations of Mahatma Gandhi, former PM Indira Gandhi, and former PM Rajiv Gandhi have occurred. You (Congress) speak of Godse concerning Gandhi’s murder. Khalistanis killed Indira Gandhi. Have you labeled them as traitors?”

“The murder of Rajiv Gandhi happened in Tamil Nadu, and you regard them with admiration. Why not discuss the failings of our state? You criticize Kashmir as a security failure. Robert Vadra is just a common man; does his status as an MP’s spouse give him the right to say whatever he pleases? Hence, I argue that Vadra should be shot,” he expressed.

He questioned if jihadists who murder innocents will attain heaven, asserting they will not.

MLA Channabasappa further called for the slogan “Bomb Pakistan, flower Bharat Mata” to be realized.

He condemned the killings of Indian citizens on Indian soil, asserting that the Indian government will respond appropriately.

He remarked on the differing conditions of Muslims in India compared to Hindus in Pakistan.

The Congress party criticizes India while professing support, he argued. Terrorism must be denounced, and nothing else should be discussed.

“We are aware of the surgical strikes that have been executed. The actions against Pakistan have garnered global approval. The Indian government has revoked all visas for Pakistan, shut down the embassy, and repatriated officials. Air travel, Pakistani media, and Twitter accounts have been banned,” the MLA stated.

The populace need not live in fear. The task of flattening Pakistan will be accomplished. Hindus have consistently been the target, even during former PM Jawahar Lal Nehru's era. The Congress is engaging in treasonous activities. What is the plight of Shias and Hindus in Pakistan? We are aware of the persecution faced by Hindus there. The notion of a Pakistan nation will be dismantled. It appears certain that a united India will become a reality, stated MLA Channabasappa.

Where else should we advocate for Hindutva if not in a Hindu nation? The Congress must cease its support and incitement of terrorists, he declared.

Addressing Karnataka Chief Minister, he challenged, “Siddaramaiah, if you possess courage, declare your support for eradicating terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a fitting lesson to Pakistan, and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should endorse this.”

“Those advocating for Bharat Jodo (Unite India) must not ally with traitors. The roots of terrorism must be eradicated. A robust India needs to impart a decisive lesson to Pakistan. India is the sole Hindustan for Hindus, and we must safeguard it. Therefore, a substantial lesson must be imparted. It seems to me that India is preparing for war,” he concluded.

In response to inquiries regarding the MLA's call to shoot Robert Vadra, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara remarked on Friday that he would not comment on those statements.

Vadra, commenting a day after the attack, indicated that the violence stemmed from the growing rift between Hindus and Muslims in India, which he believed was being aggravated by the BJP-led government's Hindutva agenda.

“In our nation, we observe that this government will promote Hindutva, causing minorities to feel uneasy and troubled... If you analyze the recent terrorist act, if they (the terrorists) are targeting people based on identity, why are they doing this? It’s because a divide has developed in our country between Hindus and Muslims...” Vadra stated.
