Bengaluru, Feb 15 (NationPress) Karnataka Police have unveiled the photographs of two robbers on a motorcycle who fatally shot an ATM cash van guard and have declared a reward of Rs 5 lakh for any leads regarding the suspects.

The police identified the wanted individuals as Aman Kumar, hailing from Fathehpur Phulwaria in Vaishali district, Bihar, and Alok Kumar, also known as Ashutosh or Ambani, from Mahisour close to Janadhaha in the same district.

In a recent announcement, Bidar Police reiterated the Rs 5 lakh reward for information that could lead to the apprehension of Aman Kumar and Alok Kumar.

Authorities have pledged confidentiality for those who provide information.

This tragic event unfolded on January 16 in broad daylight in front of the State Bank of India (SBI) Main Branch located in Bidar city.

The assailants, who had been following the cash van, executed the attack outside the bank while the crew was unloading trunks filled with cash.

According to police reports, the two masked assailants unleashed five gunshots at the cash van and its guards. They managed to escape with a trunk containing Rs 93 lakh in cash after throwing chili powder at the guards to disorient them.

One of the guards, Giri Venkatesh, aged 40 and a resident of Chidri locality in Bidar, was killed instantly, while another guard, Shivakumar, suffered severe injuries.

The robbers, riding on two motorcycles, successfully executed the theft and fled the scene.

Despite local residents raising an alarm, throwing stones, and attempting to apprehend them, the robbers escaped.
