Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav Scheduled at Narendra Modi Stadium on December 7

Ahmedabad, Dec 4 (NationPress) An extravagant event celebrating the service of BAPS volunteers is slated to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket stadium globally, on December 7. This event will honor the selfless dedication and hard work of over 100,000 volunteers.
The festivities will commence with a moving tribute to Pramukh Swami Maharaj on his birth anniversary, recognizing his instrumental role in building a worldwide network of altruistic volunteers.
Attending the event will be BAPS spiritual leader Mahant Swami Maharaj, along with prominent figures such as Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The year-long Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav celebrations commenced on January 28, 2024, and will culminate with the grand finale on December 7, 2024, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Volunteers from various regions of India and around the globe, including the UK, Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Middle East, are expected to gather for this memorable occasion.
This celebration marks the first time that such a momentous event will pay tribute to over 100,000 volunteers from both India and abroad, showcasing their remarkable contributions and sacrifices through engaging performances, storytelling, and retrospective videos. The event will also feature blessings from senior swamis and inspiring speeches from distinguished guests.
This Suvarna Mahotsav reflects the lasting legacy of selfless service inspired by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and nurtured under the guidance of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj.
Extensive preparations are underway for this grand occasion, involving more than 33 service departments and over 10,000 volunteers who are working diligently at three locations: a dedicated 34-acre workshop in Raysan, along with additional workshops in Sarangpur (Botad) and Shahibaug.
The Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav (1972-2022) commemorates and pays homage to 50 years of unwavering and devoted social and spiritual contributions made by thousands of BAPS karyakars (volunteers), including both young and elderly members. Although community activities for children, teenagers, and adults were initiated by Yogiji Maharaj in the early 1950s, a formal organizational framework was established in 1972 under the guidance and blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
Since then, with the support of the Satsang Pravrutti Central Office (SPCO) for teenagers, youths, and adults, as well as the Bal Pravrutti Central Office (BPCO) for children, these karyakars have devoted their time, energy, and resources to promoting the principles of selfless service and devotion as revealed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the Gunatit gurus.
Over the years, Yogiji Maharaj, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and Mahant Swami Maharaj have personally guided and motivated the karyakars to advance in their spiritual journeys while also providing valuable community service.
