Prime Minister to Speak at the BAPS Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav Today

New Delhi, Dec 7 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to give a virtual address at the Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav, a remarkable event commemorating 50 years of altruistic service by the volunteers of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan (BAPS) Sanstha.

The celebration, taking place at the renowned Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, recognizes the commitment of over 100,000 volunteers who have played a pivotal role in fostering a global community based on service, devotion, and spirituality.

Notable figures including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and members of the state Cabinet will also be present. The Prime Minister’s remarks will pay tribute to the enduring efforts and sacrifices made by the volunteers carrying on the legacy of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Brahmvihari Swami from BAPS shared insights into the evolution of the sect's volunteer network, which started in 1972 with just 11 active members, including representatives from India, the US, the UK, and Africa.

“This gathering is not merely a show of strength; it is a heartfelt expression of gratitude. Today, we are proud to have nearly one lakh karyakars, and this event is dedicated to honoring their tireless service,” he remarked. Volunteers from more than 30 countries, including Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa, are joining in this momentous occasion.

The program includes spectacular performances by over 2,000 volunteers, themed around “seed, tree, and fruits,” symbolizing the growth and influence of selfless service. Engaging presentations, videos, and narratives will highlight the remarkable contributions of the volunteers. Props for the event have been meticulously crafted in Raysan, Sarangpur, and Shahibaug to enhance the visual experience.

At the world’s largest cricket stadium, the Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav exemplifies the strength of collective devotion and service, embodying the rich legacy of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
