Hyderabad, Feb 17 (NationPress) The Telangana Jagruthi organization held a spontaneous protest on Tuesday, urging the Congress government to deliver on its electoral commitments to the women of Telangana.
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, president of Telangana Jagruthi, spearheaded the demonstration at Praja Bhavan.
Joined by over 1,000 women, the former MP led the protest and subsequently met with officials to present a memorandum calling for the urgent execution of the outstanding election pledges.
During the demonstration, women chanted slogans highlighting the unfulfilled commitments to the women of Telangana, which include 10 grams of gold for brides, electric scooters for female students, and Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance for women.
After delivering the memorandum, Kavitha insisted that funds be allocated during the upcoming Budget session. She also reiterated the call for fulfilling the promises made to Anganwadi and Aasha workers in Telangana.
