Hyderabad, July 29 (NationPress) - K. Kavitha, the president of Telangana Jagruthi and BRS MLC, declared that she will embark on a 72-hour fast from August 4 to 6 to urge the Centre to sanction two Bills that were approved by the Telangana Assembly, which advocate for 42 per cent reservation for Backward Classes in educational institutions, job sectors, and local governance.
During a press briefing, the BRS MLC expressed her intention to fast to apply pressure on both the state and Central governments regarding the critical BC reservation matter.
Kavitha mentioned that she will request governmental consent for a dharna, and in the event of denial, she will undertake the fast wherever feasible.
