New Delhi, Aug 3 (NationPress) Senior Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande launched a fierce critique against opposition figures, challenging their position on Hindutva and accusing them of tarnishing the Hindu community for their own political advantage.
In a direct assertion, she called for Shiv Sena(UBT) to exit the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the INDIA bloc if it remains true to its saffron principles. Kayande's comments were a response to recent remarks by NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Jitendra Awhad, who claimed, "Sanatan Dharma has ruined India".
While rebuking Awhad, she stated to IANS, "His primary agenda has been to defame Hindus while engaging in Muslim appeasement. He continually questions police investigations and state mechanisms purely to advance his political goals."
Targeting former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, she remarked, "We approached Tilak Bhavan, the Congress headquarters, demanding its closure. This party operates like the 'Pakistan National Congress'. The term 'saffron terrorism' was initially introduced by Congress and Sharad Pawar, yet a Hindu has never been a terrorist. Sadhvi Pragya and Lt. Col. Purohit were wrongly implicated, but the NIA court has validated that the alleged Hindu terrorism narrative was a fabrication."
On Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur's assertion of a conspiracy against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kayande stated, "She faced mental, physical, and social torture for 17 years. Even as a Member of Parliament, justice was denied to her. Col. Purohit, who served the nation, also fell victim to this conspiracy. We applaud the NIA court's ruling."
Regarding Uddhav Thackeray's participation in the INDIA bloc meeting on August 7, she commented, "If Uddhav ji is attending, he must exhibit courage. Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece 'Saamana' had previously condemned the notion of saffron terror. Now, the Congress, which leads this bloc, openly employs that term. If Shiv Sena genuinely adheres to its saffron ideology, it should withdraw from both the MVA and the INDIA bloc immediately."
