Chandigarh, Jan 29 (NationPress) Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel announced on Wednesday that the state government has taken decisive action regarding the remarks made by former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal concerning Delhi's water supply. A legal case has been filed against him in the Sonipat court under the Disaster Management Act.

Minister Goel described Kejriwal's statement as absurd and misleading, urging the Election Commission of India to acknowledge such unfounded claims.

He asserted, “Kejriwal has resorted to petty politics by making these allegations against Haryana, prompting the state government to initiate legal proceedings.”

The Haryana Minister further mentioned that the water supplied to Delhi is the same water consumed by the President, the Prime Minister, and Union Ministers.

He accused Kejriwal of instilling fear not only among the residents of Delhi but also among the citizens of Haryana with his false assertions.

Goel criticized the Delhi government for its complete failure to clean the Yamuna River.

He alleged that the former Delhi Chief Minister was making unfounded accusations against Haryana merely to protect his political standing ahead of the elections.

He emphasized that the people of Haryana regard the Yamuna as sacred, and disseminating false information is both an insult to Haryana and a means to mislead the people of Delhi.

Minister Goel highlighted that Kejriwal claimed he prevented supposed “poisonous water” from entering Delhi, yet there is no evidence supporting this assertion.

He added that Kejriwal has a longstanding habit of masking his failures with false statements.

Furthermore, the Minister accused the Delhi government of not fulfilling its promise to clean the Yamuna.

He pointed out that out of 37 sewage treatment plants in Delhi, only 17 are operational, reflecting the inefficiency and negligence of the Delhi government.

This mismanagement, he noted, “is affecting not only the people of Delhi but also those residing in Haryana's Faridabad, Palwal, and Mewat districts.”
