Patna, Jan 13 (NationPress) The ongoing turmoil regarding the protests linked to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examinations is set to intensify as educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, has outrightly rejected the demand to apologise for his purported derogatory comments directed at the commission's officials.

Khan Sir's statement followed a 5-page notice issued by the BPSC on January 11, which highlighted specific remarks he made amidst the protests regarding the officials.

The notice accused Khan Sir of inciting protesting candidates and making inappropriate comments about senior BPSC officials, including both the chairman and the secretary.

He has been allotted a 15-day timeframe to provide a public apology. Nevertheless, Khan Sir has staunchly denied the allegations and stood by his actions.

Even with the looming threat of a criminal case, Khan Sir insisted: "I would rather serve time in jail than apologise to the BPSC. The commission is branding a teacher as a criminal, and the citizens of this nation are witnessing this injustice."

The BPSC has claimed that Khan Sir incited candidates during the protests and utilized inappropriate language against its officials.

He stressed that an apology would dishearten the students who are fighting for their rights, as it would undermine their struggle and deter future efforts to seek justice.

He maintained that his battle is not personal but focused on protecting the dignity and ambitions of the candidates. In his defense, Khan Sir clarified that he was present at the Gardanibagh dharna site solely to support students from middle-class backgrounds who lack resources, not to incite them.

“These candidates are mature, aspiring officers of DSP and SDM ranks who cannot be easily swayed,” Khan Sir remarked.

The BPSC contends that Khan Sir alleged that seats within the commission were sold, which they view as a serious and unfounded accusation.

Khan Sir clarified that his statements regarding seats being "sold" stemmed from prevalent media reports and public discussions that reflect widespread discontent with the commission.

He reiterated that this sentiment resonates with many.

“I have proposed a narco test for myself first and then for the BPSC chairman and other officials. These tests should be conducted in the presence of the media to establish who is truthful regarding allegations of corruption and misconduct,” Khan Sir stated.

Referring to the examination conducted on December 13, 2024, he condemned the commission for failing to maintain fairness, particularly at the Bapu Centre, which the BPSC claimed to be a secure venue but faced serious allegations of significant irregularities.

Khan Sir highlighted frequent instances of exam paper leaks and widespread irregularities during BPSC examinations, including the chaos at the Bapu Centre, which was supposed to be highly secure.

He argued that the commission's failure to conduct fair and secure exams has tarnished its reputation more than any external criticism.

Khan Sir expressed his willingness to comply with any conditions set by the commission if they decide to conduct a re-examination across the state, indicating a readiness to collaborate for a resolution.

Khan Sir has taken a bold and defiant stance against the Bihar Public Service Commission's (BPSC) notice, underscoring his commitment to supporting students and defending their rights.
