Khan Sir Hospitalized After Dehydration Episode

Patna, Dec 7 (NationPress) Educationist Faizal Khan, widely recognized as Khan Sir, has been hospitalized in the ICU of Prabhat Memorial Hiramati Hospital in Patna due to dehydration and exhaustion.
His health declined after he took part in a protest organized by BPSC aspirants at Gardanibagh in Patna on Friday. These aspiring BPSC candidates are voicing their concerns against the normalization process, and Khan Sir has publicly shown his support for their cause.
Dr. Satish Kumar, the CMD of the hospital, confirmed that Khan Sir experienced severe dehydration, which required saline infusion. Fortunately, his health has significantly improved, and he is anticipated to be discharged by Sunday morning if his recovery continues on track.
Khan Sir's health issues began on Friday when he suffered from continuous vomiting, leading to dehydration. Despite feeling unwell, he attended the protest, engaged with a magistrate for mediation, and sought assistance to return to his vehicle. He was later safely escorted by police to Atal Path in Patna.
The educationist is expected to return to his teaching duties soon, as medical professionals have reported notable progress in his recovery.
On Friday evening, there were conflicting reports in the media suggesting that Khan Sir had been detained by the Patna Police. However, Rajeev Mishra, Patna's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), clarified that he had neither been detained nor arrested.
On Saturday morning, Anu Kumari, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of the Sachiwalay range in Patna, also refuted any claims regarding Khan Sir's detention or arrest.
“Khan Sir was not arrested or detained by Patna Police during the protests by BPSC aspirants at the Gardanibagh dharna site. Instead, he voluntarily went to the Gardanibagh police station on Friday to speak with the duty magistrate. He assured the magistrate that he would help clarify the situation to the protesting students to ensure peace. He subsequently requested police assistance to safely reach his car parked on Atal Path. A police team then provided him transport in a police vehicle to his car,” Anu Kumari stated.
