New Delhi, Aug 3 (NationPress) Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana commended the Indian security forces for their unwavering commitment to anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation exhibits a stance of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

In an interview with IANS in Delhi, Khatana remarked, "Our armed forces, alongside the Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary units, are executing their duties with exceptional professionalism even in challenging environments. Although this is no easy feat, our forces are performing admirably."

Addressing Pakistan’s contribution to terrorism, the BJP spokesperson highlighted the stark differences between the two countries. "We harbor no animosity towards the people of Pakistan. However, the Pakistani military has transformed the region into a graveyard over the last 35-40 years. This has led to countless children becoming orphans and women losing their husbands," he stated.

Khatana emphasized that while Pakistan is known for exporting terror, India is establishing itself as a global center for development under PM Modi’s leadership. "Blood and water can never coexist. Everyone remembers the events in Pahalgam," he added, referring to the pause in the Indus Waters Treaty.

On the recent remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding the Bihar SIR (Special Investigation Report) controversy, Khatana asserted that inclusive development is fundamental to PM Modi’s vision.

“It is imperative not to exclude any significant community—minorities, Dalits, or backward classes—from the development process. They aspire to partake in India's progress through initiatives such as Start-Up and Stand-Up India," he stated.

Regarding the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, which is set to resume tomorrow, Khatana accused the opposition of intentionally hindering proceedings.

"Their aim is to disrupt the functioning of Parliament rather than engage in constructive dialogue," he expressed.

Khatana reaffirmed that the BJP remains dedicated to development, national security, and inclusive growth.

Since the commencement of the Monsoon Session on July 21, there has been minimal legislative activity.

The Monsoon Session is scheduled to continue until August 12.
