Patna, April 27 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, conducted a thorough inspection on Sunday of the preparations for the forthcoming Khelo India Youth Games 2025 at the Patliputra Sports Complex.
He evaluated the arrangements at key locations, including the Central Control and Command Centre, Conference Hall, Stadium, Indoor Stadium, and other essential facilities, providing crucial directives to guarantee the event's success.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also observed practice sessions conducted by players and artists in preparation for the opening ceremony, set for May 4.
A standout feature of the event will be the unveiling of the world's largest Madhubani painting. Nitish Kumar assessed this extraordinary artwork, which has received recognition from the Guinness World Records.
A dedicated team of at least 50 artists from the Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan, Saurath, and Madhubani worked diligently for 50 hours to create this masterpiece.
The Chief Minister was formally presented with the Guinness World Record certificate for this achievement during the event.
Additionally, he recognized Padma Shri awardee Baua Devi, who was instrumental in the creation of this record-breaking Madhubani artwork.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister received the Guinness certificate for a performance featuring 375 Bal Lamas with singing bowls, which also set a world record.
This year marks the first time Bihar will host the prestigious Khelo India Youth Games from May 4 to May 15, 2025.
The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 4, with participation from 8,500 players, 1,500 coaches, and technical officials from 28 states and 8 union territories competing in 28 different sports.
Competitions will take place across five cities in Bihar: Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Bhagalpur, and Begusarai.
