New Delhi, Nov 30 (NationPress) Highlighting a proposal for a dialogue on SIR during a gathering of all-party floor leaders, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju stated that the government is open to discussing all matters to ensure a smooth operation of business in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament, commencing on Monday.
“The suggestions put forth by the floor leaders will be duly considered and forwarded to the Business Advisory Committees. The selection of topics for discussion in the House follows a specified procedure,” Rijiju remarked just before the Session begins.
During the all-party meeting, Rijiju noted that no leader indicated any intention to disrupt the Parliament. “Some leaders suggested they might raise a commotion in the House regarding SIR. We are prepared to hear the Opposition... Parliament is a collective space for the nation. There is a method to discuss every issue in Parliament, governed by established rules and traditions,” he emphasized.
He acknowledged that political differences are a natural aspect of parliamentary democracy, yet emphasized that it is possible to voice concerns or debate issues without hindering the proceedings and still achieve substantial productivity during the Session.
Earlier, he mentioned, “The meeting of all-party floor leaders was very effective and productive. I extend my gratitude to all the floor leaders for their participation and for sharing their party's perspectives.”
“On behalf of our government, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha J.P. Nadda, my fellow ministers, and I have taken note of all the suggestions shared,” he added.
The Winter Session of Parliament is set to commence on Monday (December 1) and will continue until December 19.

“On behalf of the government, I assure the Opposition parties that we will strive to provide our utmost cooperation for the Parliament's smooth operation,” he stated.
