Patna, March 24 (NationPress) Jan Suraaj Party leader Prashant Kishor criticized RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, alleging that he is placing his family's political goals above the interests of the 13 crore citizens of the state.
During his brief visit to Begusarai on Monday, part of the Jan Suraaj Udghosh Yatra, Kishor condemned Lalu Yadav’s remarks about appointing Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Minister of Bihar.
Speaking to reporters in Begusarai, Kishor stated: "In Lalu Prasad’s view, there exists only one 'Lal' (son) in Bihar — Tejashwi Yadav. He shows no concern for the 13 crore people of Bihar. Lalu Prasad is unable to think beyond his family. How can he recognize anyone else in Bihar?"
Kishor accused Lalu Prasad of engaging in family-focused politics and disregarding the broader needs of the state.
Prashant Kishor also targeted Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar regarding his “migration stop yatra”, asserting that it is motivated by the achievements of Jan Suraaj.
“Thanks to the influence of Jan Suraaj, leaders from other political parties are now engaging with the public. They realize that if they do not take action, they will face rejection from the people,” Kishor remarked.
He further challenged the Congress party's position on Bihari pride, questioning why figures like Rahul Gandhi and Kanhaiya Kumar remain silent on controversial remarks made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who allegedly stated that ‘Biharis are born to be laborers’.
"Rahul Gandhi must respond. Their leaders insult Biharis outside of Bihar and then come here to ask for votes. Is this acceptable?" he added.
Kishor also criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s domicile policy, accusing him of compromising Bihar's youth employment prospects for his own political advantage.
"Nitish Kumar is so fixated on becoming the Prime Minister that he has sacrificed the futures of Bihar's children to other states. He thinks that creating job opportunities for outsiders will enhance his reputation, but this is unfair to Bihar's youth," Kishor claimed.
He also charged Tejashwi Yadav and the Congress with neglecting Bihar's unemployment crisis, asserting that they were silent during crucial events such as the BPSC paper leak and the introduction of the domicile policy.
Kishor reiterated the Jan Suraaj demand for 75 percent of jobs in Bihar to be allocated to the state's youth.
"I even undertook a hunger strike for issues like the BPSC paper leak and the domicile policy. Bihar's youth need jobs, and Jan Suraaj is advocating for them," he stated.
He also held the Mahagathbandhan government accountable for failing to prioritize the youth, especially during Tejashwi Yadav’s time as Deputy Chief Minister.
