Patna, Aug 5 (NationPress) Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor launched a fierce critique against Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday for his ongoing silence regarding the alleged assaults on Bihari youths in Maharashtra, a state governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
While addressing a gathering at the Dumra Football Ground during his Bihar Badlaav Yatra, Kishor questioned Shah's moral obligations and the relevance of his upcoming visit to Sitamarhi.
"In Maharashtra, under BJP rule, Bihari youths are being beaten and killed. Why has Amit Shah remained silent on this? Now, he is planning to visit Sitamarhi to solicit votes? This tactic won't work anymore," he stated while speaking to the media in Sitamarhi.
Kishor accused Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of treating Bihar merely as an electoral platform.
"None of them stay in Bihar for even one night unless it's election time," he remarked.
He further criticized the Election Commission of India, alleging that it is operating under BJP's influence concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
"The Election Commission is attempting to remove the names of poor, deprived, and Muslim voters at the behest of the BJP. However, the Supreme Court has clarified that if you possess an Aadhaar, you have the right to vote," he asserted.
Kishor emphasized that his party, Jan Suraaj, will advocate for those whose names have been unjustly removed, asserting that even with deletions, the remaining voter base is sufficient to challenge the BJP.
Responding to the Nitish Kumar-led government's new domicile policy for teacher recruitments, the Jan Suraaj Chief denounced it as "false propaganda," accusing the state government of misleading the populace.
"This domicile policy is only applicable for Teacher Recruitment Exam-4. Previously, three lakh teachers were appointed, mostly from outside Bihar," he claimed.
He suggested that this was merely a political ploy during an election year, rather than a genuine effort to empower Bihari youth.
Kishor's statements come amid heightened political tensions in Bihar, with Assembly elections on the horizon.
