Patna, March 31 (NationPress) Political strategist-turned-leader Prashant Kishor has sharply criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting that the true authority in Bihar is held by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his appointed officials.
While addressing the media in Kishanganj, the Jan Suraj Party head declared that Nitish Kumar is both physically drained and mentally unfit to lead Bihar.
"Nitish Kumar is merely a facade. Over recent years, his credibility has significantly diminished. He is physically exhausted and mentally unstable, rendering him incapable of running the government. The BJP has placed him above the 13 crore people of Bihar, but in reality, the state's administration is managed by Amit Shah and his appointed officials," Kishor claimed.
The Jan Suraj Party founder voiced his opposition to the Waqf Amendment Bill, arguing that enacting it without engaging the Muslim community would be inappropriate.
"Any intervention in the rights of minorities that are guaranteed by the Constitution is intolerable. Should the Waqf law be approved, then Nitish Kumar and his JDU MPs will bear greater responsibility than the BJP. If JDU MPs oppose the Waqf bill, it will not pass. If they remain silent, they should cease to identify as followers of Gandhi and Lohia," he stated.
Prashant Kishor participated in the Anjuman Islamia Eid Milan event in Kishanganj on Monday. He also presented a chadar at Madrasa Amjadia Eidgah at Qadam Rasul, praying for peace, unity, and harmony within society.
Kishor's strong condemnation of Nitish Kumar and the BJP's dominance in Bihar emerges amid rising political uncertainty.
His comments also coincide with Nitish Kumar's numerous peculiar public appearances, particularly on Sunday during a cheque distribution event at Bapu Auditorium and the opening ceremony of the Sepak Takraw World Championship, where he was observed laughing and conversing during the national anthem, fueling speculations regarding his political future and Bihar's governance.
As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections draw near, Kishor's statements are expected to heighten political discussions surrounding Nitish Kumar's leadership and the BJP's influence over Bihar's governance.
