Patna, March 12 (NationPress) The leader of the Jan Suraj Party, Prashant Kishor, has made a significant declaration, asserting that Nitish Kumar will not serve as the Chief Minister of Bihar following the 2025 Assembly elections.

“The term of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will conclude after November. Should the NDA maintain power, the BJP will appoint its own Chief Minister, and if the NDA fails, Nitish Kumar will still not be reinstated as CM,” he stated.

He went on to say, “Regardless of the election results, Nitish Kumar will not continue as CM.”

This assertion from Prashant Kishor follows remarks from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who indicated he would be in Bihar for the 2025 Assembly elections to ensure an NDA victory. Kishor further predicted that a new political alternative will emerge in Bihar in 2025.

Prashant Kishor has amplified his critique of Bihar’s political framework, suggesting that citizens are eager for change and will not vote out of obligation anymore.

“The electorate is no longer confused between JDU, BJP, or RJD. They will now prioritize development, employment, and education. A fresh political choice will come to the forefront within six months through the Jan Suraj Party,” Kishor remarked.

However, the Jan Suraj Convener is making grand assertions despite his party's poor performance in the 2024 by-elections across four constituencies: Belaganj, Imamganj, Tarari, and Ramgarh.

The candidates representing the Jan Suraj Party were unable to retain their deposits during these by-elections. Established on October 2, 2024, the 2025 Assembly elections in Bihar will serve as a critical evaluation for this party and Prashant Kishor.

Kishor claimed to have been conducting Padyatra for over two years, sensing a change in voter attitudes in Bihar. He asserted that Bihar’s electorate is looking beyond conventional parties.

As the Bihar Assembly election nears, Prashant Kishor is striving to establish his party as a valid alternative. Presently, Bihar encompasses two major coalitions: the NDA and the Grand Alliance, with Kishor aiming to introduce his party as a third option in the state.
