Patna, Feb 17 (NationPress) Prashant Kishor, the leader of Jan Suraaj, criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday for placing his political ambitions above the development of the state.
Kishor expressed that the citizens of Bihar are increasingly discontent with Kumar's governance and are eager to see him ousted.
He noted that the current political relationship between the BJP and JD-U has created a situation of mutual reliance, stifling effective governance.
“The BJP hesitates to confront Kumar's authority in Bihar to safeguard its own national interests. This political arrangement is evident to the public, who are preparing to voice their grievances through their votes in the forthcoming elections,” Kishor remarked.
He further challenged Nitish Kumar’s knowledge of his own cabinet, daring him to identify his ministers and their roles without any reference material.
Kishor claimed that if Kumar could achieve this, he would retract his opposition and extend his support.
He pointed out that even while sharing platforms with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kumar has failed to make significant demands for Bihar’s industrial progress.
“Unlike states like Gujarat, which are creating plans for new industries, Bihar is lacking in actionable initiatives to set up factories in its districts. This neglect is a key factor in the ongoing unemployment crisis affecting the youth of our state,” Kishor asserted.
Highlighting the escalating public frustration, Kishor emphasized that the people of Bihar have grown disenchanted with Kumar's leadership.
“If the Chief Minister were truly dedicated to the state's advancement, he would actively pursue the establishment of industries in every district,” he stated.
Kishor also questioned whether there have been any instances of the Chief Minister requesting special support from the Union government to bolster Bihar’s industrial landscape.
He stressed that for Bihar to progress, the government must focus on real development rather than political maneuvers.
