BPSC Demonstration: Prashant Kishor Calls for Solidarity from Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav

Patna, Jan 5 (NationPress) On the fourth day of his hunger strike, Prashant Kishor, the leader of the Jan Suraj Party, urged Congress figure Rahul Gandhi and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to participate in the ongoing student-led movement in Bihar.

Kishor expressed his readiness to aid the cause from the background if they opted to take the lead. “This movement is not centered around one person; it represents a struggle against the defective system in Bihar,” Kishor stated while speaking to the press in Patna.

“I call upon all political figures, whether it’s Tejashwi Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, or others, to align with us. If the youth decide these leaders should spearhead the movement, I am prepared to step aside and provide them with my support,” he remarked.

Kishor underscored that the battle was a unified effort, unconnected to any specific political philosophy or leader. To bolster the movement, a 51-member Yuva Satyagraha Committee has been established, bringing together various student organizations throughout Bihar. This committee aims to elevate the voices of students and ensure their demands are recognized, as they confront systemic challenges in education, employment, and governance in the state.

During his hunger strike, Prashant Kishor reiterated his dedication to the student-led movement in Bihar, asserting that the struggle would persist despite any governmental actions against him.

“Even if the authorities detain me, this Satyagraha will continue. The 51-member Yuva Satyagraha Committee will now steer this effort. This committee is committed to fixing Bihar's dysfunctional system, and I wholeheartedly endorse their initiatives,” Kishor remarked.

He pointed out that the movement has evolved beyond merely addressing issues with the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) and is now aimed at a comprehensive reform of the entire system in the state.

Kishor also appealed to the populace of Bihar, encouraging them to actively engage with the movement. “Remaining idle under quilts and blankets will not enhance Bihar. It is your responsibility to support these young leaders,” he emphasized.

He praised the determination and resolve of the youth leading the movement, describing it as a significant force for transformation. “Our struggle will persist as a youth-driven Jan Shakti. Regardless of the government's power, the power of the people is unmatched,” he declared.

Expressing his respect for the commitment shown by the youth, Kishor stated, “The dedication of these young individuals has surpassed my expectations. This fight transcends the BPSC; it is about reforming the system of Bihar. The youth must rally behind this cause.”

He wrapped up by inviting the public to join the effort, stating, “We are fighting for the future of Bihar — not merely by gathering in Gandhi Maidan but by pursuing the path of Satyagraha. I implore you to step forward and support this movement.”
