Tejashwi Yadav Slams Prashant Kishor for Allegedly Hijacking Student Protests

Patna, Jan 4 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, has taken aim at Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, for his use of a luxurious vanity van during the ongoing protests by BPSC candidates.
Yadav stated that the presence of the van signifies an attempt to politicize and hijack the students' movement. The RJD leader emphasized that the students have consistently expressed their desire for the movement to remain non-political.
“In light of this sentiment, we have offered our moral support to the candidates without overtly engaging in politics. We have met the protesting students at their request and have written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on two occasions regarding their concerns,” Yadav explained.
He further condemned Prashant Kishor, alleging that he is politicizing the ongoing BPSC candidates' movement and questioning his political ties. Yadav highlighted that the MLAs of Mahagathbandhan have repeatedly advocated for the students' demands, reaffirming their support for the movement.
“The opposition stands resolutely with the students in their quest for justice; however, the movement has been hijacked and compromised,” Yadav asserted. He accused authorities of deliberately suppressing the movement, with students facing lathi charges under the guise of maintaining order.
Without directly naming Kishor, Yadav questioned the intentions of those politicizing and suppressing the protest. He expressed concern about possible agreements made with the government that may have disrupted the movement. Tejashwi also referenced Kishor's previous political involvement, particularly his role as the national vice president of the Janata Dal (United) (JD-U), claiming Kishor has not clarified why Union Home Minister Amit Shah supported his high-ranking position in Nitish Kumar’s party.
Yadav pointed out that Nitish Kumar has commented on this issue and questioned the implications of Shah's endorsement. Drawing a sharp comparison, the RJD leader likened the vanity van situation to a theatrical performance, stating: "Actors are seated in the vanity van, and the one who places them there is the producer and director. Everyone is aware of which producer and director orchestrated this.”
