Key Takeaways
Patna, Oct 29 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh vehemently criticized RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav during an election rally, alleging that they are misleading the citizens of Bihar with deceptive job promises.
Speaking to a large crowd at Ramsharan Lakshminarayan College in Nimethi, located in the Baheri block of Hayaghat Assembly constituency in Darbhanga district, Singh expressed support for BJP candidate Ramchandra Prasad.
He mocked Tejashwi Yadav's claim of providing jobs to every household, questioning, “Where will the funding come from? Do not engage in politics through lies. It would require ₹12 lakh crore, while Bihar's total budget is merely ₹3.17 lakh crore. You may have a lifetime for politics, but don't deceive the public.”
Singh further asserted, “Offering jobs to 2 crore 80 lakh individuals is unrealistic. They aim to seize power through deception. While our government may not guarantee a job for every family, it will certainly ensure every home has access to employment opportunities.”
The Defence Minister also criticized Lalu Prasad Yadav’s governance, claiming that Bihar experienced a period of “jungle raj” during his leadership.
On the topic of national security, Singh reaffirmed India’s unwavering stance against terrorism.
“Following the Pulwama and Pahalgam terrorist attacks, our nation retaliated decisively against the adversaries. Our forces eliminated numerous terrorists while ensuring not a single innocent life was lost in Pakistan. Our administration practices justice and humanity, steering clear of casteism,” he emphasized.
Highlighting the accomplishments of the NDA government, Singh stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have collaboratively set Bihar on a trajectory of progress.
“Bihar has witnessed remarkable advancements in infrastructure, electricity, education, and job creation,” he added.
The rally witnessed a significant turnout of local leaders, party activists, and supporters.
