Bengaluru, Sep 20 (NationPress) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated on Saturday that the impending survey in the state transcends being just a caste survey; it encompasses an economic, social, and educational assessment. The aim is to collect data not only about the caste of individuals but also to understand their economic, social, and educational statuses to facilitate equal opportunities for those who are deprived.
During a media interaction at the Circuit House in Gadag, he addressed concerns regarding the inclusion of various Christian castes in the survey. He mentioned that feedback on this issue has been gathered, and the Backward Classes Commission will make decisions on removing any unnecessary elements.
