Patna, Feb 6 (NationPress) JD-U's chief spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar has expressed discontent towards Prashant Kishor, the convenor of Jan Suraaj, insisting on clarity about the funding origins of his political entity.
Kumar accused Jan Suraaj of being financially supported by the Joy of Giving Global Foundation, a charitable trust, and raised concerns about the suitability of employing such a foundation for political purposes.
He called on Kishor to reveal the names of companies backing this foundation by February 9, cautioning that if he does not comply, he will publicly disclose the names himself.
During a press conference at the JD-U office, Kumar showcased a poster claiming that Kishor's movement is predominantly funded by corporations, rather than grassroots activism.
Neeraj Kumar accused Kishor of masquerading politics as a business, stating: "How long will the truth be concealed? Company dominance is unacceptable under the pretense of democracy. What has become of Jan Suraaj? Only monetary influence is apparent. All entities linked to Jan Suraaj are merely a facade."
The JD-U official further emphasized: "Whose finances, whose communication? Deception under the name of Gandhi. Bihar will not grant him this chance. This is not governance but commerce. Who is funding the coffers of Jan Suraaj? Where has Jan Suraaj gone? Only the rule of wealth is discernible."
Kumar reiterated that while Prashant Kishor asserted that his party was founded on October 2, 2024, he alleged that Jan Suraaj was actually established prior to that date.
Moreover, he highlighted discrepancies in the party’s organizational structure, indicating that the treasurer listed in Kishor's documentation is absent from the party's actual hierarchy.
