Patna Feb 12 (NationPress) Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor strongly criticized JD-U regarding allegations about his party's funding, asserting that all his earnings stem from his intellect.
“I have never served as an IAS or IPS officer or held any government position. I have never been a contractor or a member of Parliament or the legislature. Everything I have achieved, I attribute to my intellectual capabilities,” stated the founder of Jan Suraaj.
Kishor highlighted that his financial gains are derived from his professional talents and intellectual pursuits.
“All my income is legitimate and will be directed to empower the youth of Bihar,” he remarked.
Kishor also touched upon the larger issue of economic inequality, especially concerning the youth in Bihar.
He further stated: "Should the youth only from Gujarat possess all the wealth? Despite the youth of Bihar being the backbone of political power? This will no longer be accepted. The youth of Bihar will not remain a source of cheap labor indefinitely."
Jan Suraaj dismissed the allegations from JD-U as unfounded and politically charged.
Senior party leader R.N. Singh asserted that the party operates with complete transparency, with all financial records available for public examination.
He urged JD-U to conduct an investigation if they suspect financial misconduct, while also demanding that JD-U reveal its own funding sources, including donations made through anonymous electoral bonds.
JD-U's chief spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar has accused Prashant Kishor of financial discrepancies, claiming that Jan Suraaj receives funding from the Joy of Giving Global Foundation, a charitable entity registered under the Companies Act.
