Bengaluru, Dec 22 (NationPress) In the midst of ongoing leadership conflicts in Karnataka, the BJP has mocked the Congress leadership and Rahul Gandhi, asserting that they are incapable of addressing the issue. The Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, R. Ashoka, remarked on Monday, "Chief Minister Siddaramaiah continues to insist that he will remain in his position as long as the party high command desires, while Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President D.K. Shivakumar claims that an agreement has already been established with the high command.
However, the Congress high command insists that it is conveniently distancing itself, blaming the confusion on the state level, and stating that the leaders themselves must resolve it, Ashoka observed.
"I previously stated that the Congress leadership and Rahul Gandhi lack the ability to solve the issues that have arisen within Karnataka's Congress. AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge's helpless comments have now validated my assertion," the BJP leader mentioned.
According to Ashoka, Karnataka is facing stagnation in development due to the ongoing power struggle between the two leaders over their positions.
Recently, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced in the House that he intends to fulfill his term. Simultaneously, Shivakumar asserted that a pact exists, which he, CM Siddaramaiah, and the Congress leadership have agreed upon.
As Deputy CM Shivakumar plans a trip to Delhi this week, activities within the Congress camp are expected to escalate.
Additionally, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah may receive an invitation to the Congress Working Committee meeting scheduled for December 27.
Although Shivakumar claims his trip to Delhi is to discuss the river interlinking project, he is also attempting to meet with Rahul Gandhi, according to sources.
