New Delhi/Bhopal, May 24 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has recently expressed his admiration for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his visionary approach, leadership qualities, and extensive knowledge across various sectors.

During his reflections on past encounters with PM Modi, Bhandarkar characterized the Prime Minister as an exceptional listener and a motivating figure.

A video detailing his perspective on PM Modi has been circulated on ‘Modi Story’, a well-known social media account on X.

"My first interaction with Modi ji occurred in 2011 at a wedding in Delhi. Although it was a fleeting moment at the Ashoka Hotel—perhaps just 30 seconds—I had already developed a deep admiration for his endeavors," Bhandarkar shared. "He encouraged me to visit Ahmedabad, and I assured him that I would." Bhandarkar had the opportunity to meet PM Modi again in 2013 during a visit to Ahmedabad, where he was invited to the Prime Minister’s residence for an extensive conversation that lasted nearly an hour.

"What stands out about Modi ji is his ability to listen intently. He inquired about my challenges in the film industry and my journey into this field. He paid full attention to our discussion," he noted. "That conversation was genuinely uplifting and made a lasting impression on me." Having frequently visited Gujarat, Bhandarkar observed the significant transformation under PM Modi's leadership as chief minister.

"The progress has been astonishing—from infrastructure improvements to economic advancements," he remarked. "He has consistently maintained a forward-thinking vision, considering what must be accomplished in the next five or ten years." The filmmaker also commended PM Modi's impact on the Indian film industry, particularly regarding policy reforms like the single-window clearance system and changes to the censor board.

"Even at the Wave Summit, he ensured that all sectors were represented—Mumbai, Bengal, and southern film industries. He embraces everyone and acknowledges each person's contribution to India," he emphasized.

Bhandarkar praised PM Modi's talent for connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. "Whether it's students, children, influencers, or religious groups, he engages with them directly. That quality makes him a genuine public leader," he stated. "His knowledge is remarkable—he can converse on any topic—and his sense of humor is delightful."

Reflecting on his experiences at the Cannes Film Festival, Bhandarkar mentioned that many international filmmakers and producers recognized PM Modi’s leadership. "They commended his dedication, saying, 'Your Prime Minister is extremely committed.' That fills us with pride," he commented. "India's strong standing on the global stage today is truly impressive, and I feel immense pride in being an Indian."
