Bhopal, March 10 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Union Cabinet for the green light on the four-laning project of the Badnawar-Petlawad-Thandla-Timarwani stretch of NH-752D, with an investment of Rs 3,839 crore.
The Chief Minister highlighted that this corridor will facilitate a direct four-lane route from Ujjain to the Timarwani interchange of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
He emphasized the significance of this initiative in enhancing accessibility to key industrial areas such as Indore, Pithampur, Ujjain, and Dewas, which is crucial for the economic upliftment of the Dhar and Jhabua districts.
Yadav remarked, "This approval is particularly vital as it will aid in the movement of pilgrims during Simhastha 2028. I express my sincere thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Cabinet for this pivotal decision."
Additionally, he commended the Union Cabinet's resolution to extend the timeline of the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' until December 2028, raising the overall budget to Rs 8.69 lakh crore, which will truly invigorate the commitment to 'Water for Every Home'.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, under the leadership of PM Modi, has sanctioned the development of a four-lane corridor covering a distance of 80.45 kilometers.
The main objective of this four-lane initiative is to enhance travel efficiency, aiming to cut down travel time by nearly one hour.
The Ujjain–Badnawar section, spanning 70.40 km, has already been upgraded from a two-lane to a four-lane format.
The Timarwani–Thandla–Petlawad–Badnawar–Ujjain corridor serves as the quickest path for traffic from Gujarat and Maharashtra to Ujjain.
Enhancing the Timarwani–Badnawar section will fortify inter-state connectivity and facilitate smoother traffic flow.
This improved infrastructure is set to lower logistics expenses, support the seamless transport of raw materials and finished products, and enhance access to industrial centers and Multi-Modal Logistics Parks located in Indore, Pithampur, Ujjain, and Dewas.
The proposed project promises high-speed connectivity, designed for enhanced safety and uninterrupted traffic flow, which will significantly decrease travel time, alleviate congestion, and lower operational costs.
